This page explains what cookies Celaza uses, which ones you can switch off, and how to change your mind at any point. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we do with information about you.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are read only by us, some by the companies whose tools we use. A few related technologies — pixels, local storage, software development kits inside embedded content — do much the same job, and everything on this page applies to those too.

Your choices

The first time you visit Celaza, a banner asks what you are willing to accept. Nothing optional is switched on before you answer, and no box is pre-ticked. You can accept everything, reject everything optional, or pick categories one at a time.

To change your answer later, use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. That reopens the same banner with your current choices shown, and a change takes effect immediately. If you would rather not use the banner at all, email support@celaza.com and ask us to opt you out — we confirm within 24 hours on business days.

Turning optional cookies off does not limit what you can buy, slow down our reply to you, or change the price you pay.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary — always on

These make the site function. They remember what is in your basket between pages, keep you signed in if you have an account, carry your cookie choices forward so the banner does not reappear on every visit, and support the fraud checks our payment providers run at checkout. They cannot be switched off, because without them the store does not work. They are set by our ecommerce platform and our payment providers.

Typical lifetime: from the end of your browsing session up to 12 months.

Analytics — optional

These tell us which pages people open, how long they stay, where they arrive from, and where they give up. We use it to find the parts of the site that are not working. The reports we look at are aggregated — we are reading patterns across visitors, not following one person around.

Typical lifetime: up to 24 months, and reset each time you visit.

Marketing and advertising — optional

These are set by the advertising platforms whose networks carried the advertisement that brought you here. They let those platforms measure whether our advertising works and show you our advertising on other sites. As our Privacy Policy explains in the section on selling and sharing, several US state privacy laws treat this as a "sale", "sharing" or "targeted advertising" even though no money changes hands — which is why declining this category is also how you exercise your opt-out right.

Typical lifetime: 30 days to 13 months depending on the platform, counted from your last visit. Identifiers expire on their own once that period passes without a return visit, and are deleted immediately if you switch the category off.

Cookies set by other companies

Where a cookie is placed by someone other than us — an analytics provider, an advertising platform, a payment processor — that company's own privacy terms govern what it does with the data. We choose these providers carefully and share the minimum they need, but we do not control their systems. Our Privacy Policy names the categories of company involved.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings, usually under Privacy or Security. Two things worth knowing before you do: blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the basket and checkout, and clearing your cookies also clears the record of your choices here, so the banner will ask you again on your next visit.

Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are honoured automatically — if yours sends one, we treat it as declining the marketing category without your needing to do anything.

Do Not Track

There is still no agreed standard for how sites should respond to a browser's Do Not Track header, so we do not act on it. The Global Privacy Control signal described above is the one we honour.

Changes

When this page changes we update the date at the top. If we add a new category of cookie, we will ask for your consent again rather than assume your previous answer covers it.
